THE BIBLICAL DEFINITION OF MARRIAGE (Hint: it is between a man and a woman)

The American family is under attack. Satan has leveled his artillery of hell at the home in an all-out effort to destroy the home. Immorality, adultery, homosexuality, women's liberation juvenile delinquency, crime, and sexual rebellion, are all born in hell. Now there is an attack on the Biblical institution of marriage between a man and a woman by the homosexual activist. This attack was born in hell also. In their opposition against the Biblical institution of marriage between a man and a woman, they cry out they want "equality of rights." However, it is not equality of rights they want but they want us to sin against God and His Holy Word by denying the Word of God and embracing and approving their lifestyles. Some homosexual activists have said that churches that have pastors who preach against homosexuality should have their tax-exempt status revoked, and others have said these churches should be shut down.

But the truth is, the First Amendment to the constitution provides churches and pastors with the protection of religious freedom and the federal government has never been given the power to tax the churches. Therefore, we have the God given authority and the protection of our constitution to preach as the Lord leads. Don't misunderstand me, I do not hate homosexuals, but I do hate their sin as I hate all sin such as adultery, drunkenness, murder, etc., but I do not hate sinners. Jesus Christ came into this world and died for sinners so they could be forgiven of their sins and be saved. The truth is, I am just a sinner that has been saved by the grace of God. And I would that all homosexuals, adulterers, murders, drunkards, drug addicts, and every other sinner in this world would be saved by the grace of God in our Lord Jesus Christ.

God loves all sinners and I love all sinners; I want to make that clear. But God still has a Biblical standard for marriage we cannot change just because we love sinners, and that standard is that marriage is between a man and a woman.

In our text we read that in the beginning of creation that God created a man, named him Adam, and put him into the Garden of Eden. Then the Bible says, that God said, "…It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him."  Then we are told that God brought all the animals before Adam and Adam named them, but for Adam there was not an help meet. Therefore God caused a deep sleep to come upon Adam and God took a rib from Adam, created a woman, brought her unto the man, and she became his wife. God did not make another man for Adam, but God made a woman. God did not create them Adam and Steve, but Adam and Eve.

God's plan for marriage has always been, still is, and always will be between a man and a woman.
